Australia's UN Periodic Review
The Australian Human Rights Commission presents FAQ on Australia's appearance before the United Nations for a periodic review of compliance with its international human rights obligations. The appearence is scheduled for April 2011.

Racism & International Students

Disability Convention Comes into Force
The International Convention on Human Rights and Disability came into force on 3 May 2008. Australia has signed, but not yet ratified the Convention.

Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Adopted
The United Nations General Assembly adopted the Declaration with only four countries – including Australia – voting against it.
